Planning a Life with Radiators, Plumbing Supplies from Stelrad ...

Having left college as a bit of a hippy, my first home was a mishmash of eclectic colours and patterns in the form of tapestries, cushions, throws, and easy lounging furniture. A single bar electric heater was sufficient for my needs ? I was hardly ever there anyway. The following decade was a time of white everything, white sofa, white chairs, white curtains ? no kids or dogs there yet, and I was hardly ever there either! Fast forward to current situation: enter kids, dogs, cats; no surplus funds, or energy for that matter for going out any more; big kitchen range continually boiling kettle for endless cups of tea with neighbours, radiators on full blast ? little Milly has a sniffle, and Jack is depressed, freezing and wet after a grizzly rugby match against the local school heroes.

Practicality has become my middle name! The layout and d?cor of my home has to be functional and sensible first, with colour schemes and style coming second, otherwise an early grave beckons. Trying to keep on top of the comings and goings of a family life in full swing is a full time job in itself, so getting the basics right from the very start is very important. Once you have agreed on a radiator layout, the rest just falls into place.

In our house, we had enough furniture, toys, clothes, and sports gear to sink a battle ship. Space was at a premium. Planning the layout of radiators had to be orchestrated with regimented precision, otherwise we would fall into the trap of heating the wrong areas and paying fuel costs for heating same. We researched radiators online and were very pleased to discover a website with a fantastic range, including all sorts of plumbing supplies. We opted for one of the many Stelrad radiators that come in a range of shapes and sizes, including lo line, compact, elite, soft-line and vertical, which were suitable for many of the awkward spaces in the house, and all at pleasingly affordable prices.

We chose the vertical Stelrad radiators for some of the rooms as they utilised the available wall space the best, and opted for the classic column radiators in the living room, because, well just because I love that old classic style! If you are in any doubt as to what heat output you need for any particular room, the good folk at this great online store are on hand to offer plenty of advice and help. All orders are despatched within 48 hours, and the level of customer care was so good I felt like I was dealing with old buddies. Better put the kettle on, again!
